Surat Daddy



Hello to all Multiply-ers,

I’m Ross, Mariena’s hubby, and new father of our baby.

Our darling baby boy was born this morning at 12:42am (New Zealand time), 26th of December (Boxing Day) 2006 at Wellington Hospital, by caesarean section.

We call him Joshua, but we might change our minds later and call him something else. He does look very much like a Joshua.

Joshua’s birth weight was 7.6lbs (3.360Kgs), and is our biggest Christmas gift that we have ever got in our lives.

Mariena and baby have done really well, and are still doing really well.

My mum, Ruth, is staying with us for a month, which is wonderful. She’s as happy as we are, and came to the hospital with us for the birth.

I am writing this as I sit beside the hospital bed, where Joshua is cuddled up next to Mariena, keeping warm.

Mariena loves to have him sleeping close by her, giving him a little kiss now and again.

We’re extremely happy to have Joshua, our little boy.
